Lauren Borchert

Lauren has brought many of her skills and talents to The Brand Affect and specializes in assisting non-profit organizations increase their marketing and web presence. She understands the important aspect of telling a story effectively and appropriately given the target population and demographics that are served.

Background & Experience

Lauren is a Charlotte native and attended Providence Senior High School and graduated from Appalachian State University.

Lauren studied Sociology and Family Development in college. She had a ten year career with the non-profit, The Arc of Mecklenburg County, before joining The Brand Affect in 2014. She was the Executive Director for The Arc of Mecklenburg from 2005 - 2014. Lauren was in charge of the administrative functions of running a non-profit organization, grant writing, program development, strategic planning, board development, marketing, and community involvement.

At The Brand Affect, she is involved with everything from sales to website design and enjoys helping clients with their marketing and brand identity.

Community Involvement

Lauren remains very involved in the non-profit sector. She is the Marketing Director on the board of directors for Pierce's Project, a preemie support group for parents. She is the Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Prevention Coordinator for The Arc of Mecklenburg County and is also the administrative assistant for the Business Leaders of Charlotte (BLOC).

Lauren's favorite things to do usually include spending time with her son, Jackson, and teaching Jazzercise.
